On Sunday I am taking a break from helping clients with their careers to join a host of other small businesses exhibiting and selling their products and services in Amsterdam. However, I am not there solely to promote my own career services.
The event, https://www.facebook.com/events/523952191001316/, is being organised by Amsterdam Small Business Network and there will be nearly 40 small businesses including photographers, artists, Greek and Mediterranean foods, jewellery, wine, clothing, beauty products, etc. In fact as you can see if you click through to the full listing here, ASBN A5 Pop-up Brochure-handout_final, there really is something for everyone.
So, what will I be doing there?
Well, instead of actively promoting my own services, I am teaming up with Jane Stephenson, who I work with at Two Motivating Minds (www.twomotivatingminds.com ), to run The Littlest Bookshop which can be found at Stand 33. Here we will be selling an eclectic range of books written by local authors including local guide books, children’s stories, business books, books on healthy eating, and of course our own book entitled Your Future – A practical guide to action.
While many of these books are in hard copy, we will also be giving away leaves from our e-tree. These leaves contain details of e-books and how you can download them when you get home – and the best part is that some of these e-books are free to download!
Jane and I are looking forward to taking time out of our busy schedules to do something completely different by promoting local authors and with all the energy and enthusiasm that is being generated by all the exhibitors this is going to be a really fun day.
So if you are in Amsterdam on Sunday 18th August be sure to come along to The Lobster House in Frederiksplein and stop by Stand 33 to say “hi” and of course buy a book!
