Tailor your cover letter for every job
You only have a few seconds to make a good first impression so never send a generic cover letter; recruiters and hiring managers will see straight through it and think that you are not that interested in the job because you couldn’t be bothered to take the time to create a job specific cover letter.
The result? Your CV will not even be looked at!
Your cover letter must show how you are a good match for the position and the value you bring with you to the job if you want to increase your chance of getting an interview.
