Recent research carried out by recruitment giant Reed, highlighted 6 ways to add value to potential employers. These are:
- Honesty
- Trustworthy
- Commitment
- Adaptability
- Accountability
- Flexibility
With the top two being seen by 100% of the employers questioned in the study as either “essential” or “desirable”.
I would add
7. Open to new ideas and challenges.
If you can demonstrate these on your CV, and by that I mean provide strong examples that show how you have used these traits in the past to add value to a project, then you have a far better chance of getting the job.
This is good news if you are trying to change your career path and do not have all the required skills in the new area.
